Hi all, So for the past two years I've been using, namely because it matches my skin tone perfectly. However, I've been having the hardest time trying to find a concealer to match with it. I recently went into a MAC store and the makeup artist working there suggested the because I tend to break out easily and wanted more coverage for my acne. Initially I was somewhat skeptical because the the concealer was two shades darker than my foundation, but she reassured me and said that the foundation would even out the tone and that an NC42 would be too light on me. She even tested it out on me and it looked decent, so I went ahead and bought it. Perhaps it was the store lighting that made it look good, but I've been using the concealer for about a week now and I realized that it only made my skin look orange and cakey.
The foundation doesn't cover it up properly and only brings out the orange-ness more and makes it look even more cakey, no matter how hard I try blending it in. I'm planning on going in to get it exchanged soon, but I was wondering if someone could suggest a shade that could go well with my foundation? I'm a university student so I can't exactly splurge on multiple concealers until I find a match, and for the most part the makeup artists at MAC themselves have a tough time trying to find products that match my skin tone.

So techincally, she kinda gave you the same color in both (if that makes sense lol). Mp4 joiner for mac. For example, I have NC45 EVERYTHING, but SSFluid NC45 is too dark. The closest match for me in that formula is NW43. Hope it helps thinking from this angle too For me I find that Studio Fix Fluid runs Lighter. I'm an NC44 but I find it's too Light for me in this formula so I have to wear NC45.
