Earlier this month, to release its new ViewNX-i image browsing software for free on March 17. As promised, the download has gone live today, building on the camera maker's previous View NX 2 software. The new application works in conjunction with Nikon's NX-D photofinishing software for editing photographs, and bundles Nikon's ViewNX-Movie Editor for editing videos. Nikon's ViewNX-i is a simple image browsing application with robust sorting and organization features, including options for filtering images based on certain criteria, viewing photo and camera information, adding descriptions and ratings, and more. The information panes can be collapsed to allow for a cleaner view of images, and basic edits can be made via a dedicated button that pulls up Nikon's NX-D software (assuming it is already installed on the system). ViewNX-i is available for both Mac OS and Windows. Those running Windows will need to be running at least Windows 7 editions and have a 1.6GHz Intel Core i-series or Pentium 4 processor, 2GB of RAM (on 64-bit systems), and a display resolution of at least 1024 x 768 pixels.
Mac users will need to be running at least OS X 10.8.5, an Intel Core or Xeon series CPU (for still image editing), 2GB of RAM, and have a display with a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768. Ok.I have a Macbook Pro 15' with 16 MB Ram and 500 SSD with Retina, and I've tried downloading ViewNX 2 twice now.

Paintbrush for Mac hasn't been updated for 5 years and was not compartable with most of Mac system already.
I let it run a good 45 minutes the first time, and it just looks to get 'stuck' on the download.as it has a blue line across the window it's in, as if it's finished, but it never does finish! Used 'Force Quit' and re-tried.this time for over an hour, with the same result. I do have the latest OS update of EL Capitan, thus don't know if the installer has trouble with updated OS? Recently picked up my D750 Nikon, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to download without this, but thought I'd see what you might have to say here. Any ideas why this software won't install correctly?
To ensure this, you might want to change your default address book. On the Home tab, in the Find group, click Address Book. In the Address Book dialog box that opens, click Tools > Options. 
Each email account will be associated with a specific data file. This will also change the 'default calendar folder' for the profile. To change the default data file, from OL menu, go to File --> Account Settings --> Data Files tab --> highlight which data file you want to set as the default and click on 'Set as default' button.
