How to change margins / paper size when printing to PDF on Mac OSX So I was trying to save some D&D character sheets to PDF and noticed the bottom portion kept getting chopped off, while there was a big chunk of white space on the top of the page. The problem of losing hyperlinks when working with Mac Word and print/save to PDF (with or without Adobe Acrobat 'Pro') had been vexing, so I'm sharing what has been the best solution for me -- Microsoft Office365 has web apps similar to Google Docs.
Hi, Is it possible to change the default paper size to 'Custom paper size'? I created a custom paper size, named 'PDF Borderless' and followed your tutorial but unfortunately, when I re-open the doc, the paper size back to A4.
It's kinda annoying because most of my docs need a borderless to print / save to pdf. Thanks in advance.
I've followed this instructions from link below, unfortunately it happens for standard paper size only. Try this -- In a new blank document go to File> Page Setup then in this order; • Select the preferred printer from the Format For dropdown • Select the preferred choice from the Paper Size dropdown • Select Microsoft Word from the Settings dropdown • Click the Default button • Confirm Yes to the update It wouldn't hurt to Quit the program. No need to save the blank document. On next launch you should find that your selected paper size is automatically set [ File> Page Setup] for any new documents you create. Are you saying that if you go into the Print dialog when using other programs that you have a choice for A4 Borderless, but that when using Word A4 Borderless is not in the list? Which version of OS X are you using? Is your installation of O2016 fully updated [15.15.1 was recently released].
It might help to check the mfr's web site to see if there is an update for your printer, as well -- what's pushed out by Apple isn't always as timely as we'd like to believe:-) To set your Default in Word; • Go to Format> Document • Click the Page Setup button • If A4 Borderless is available, select it, otherwise select your custom paper size • Click OK • Set all 4 Margin values to Zero • Click the Default button • Confirm the updating of Normal • Quit the program See if you have success when you next launch Word. BTW: I'm sure you realize, but just to be clear. None of this will change anything about documents which previously existed.
They will still open as whatever Paper Size & Margins they were last saved. It's only documents created after the new Default is set that will take on those parameters. When you’re ready to send your message, Postbox also has domain fencing that can prevent you from sending an email from the wrong account. Postbox has powerful file and image search capabilities that allow you to find and use files and images in your email — even while composing a new message. Postbox also has a time tracker feature when responding to email so you can see how long you’ve spent composing your message, as well as a word count. This is very similar to the “Canned Responses” feature in Google Labs (which is available in the Gmail web interface), but it doesn’t require that you have a Gmail account in order to use them. But the thing is. It works perfectly on a Windows system. But the same problems appears on a Mac ios. If you open a document (with a footer) from a Window machine in the Mac book and choose borderless it works perfect. But after saving, closing and open again.

It goes back to standard A4. I have succeeded to save a Template that gives you the same message, it's out of border. But it don't cuts the last line. That's a progress. But it seems like a problem inside Word on Mac.
I should mention. I have made templates for printing and deffault settings.
The template indicates no borders. But when I use it on an old one it still goes back to deffault A4. The thing is that I need to bee able to use the old documents without making the settings every time.
Sounds like a Print Driver issue on the Mac for the Printer. • Go to Hp website. • Look for the latest Print Driver for your printer for system version you using. • Now go to Menu > Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
• Look for you current Printer setup and Delete it. • Now open the Download Driver and open the. DMG file, then install file. • Now go back to Printers & Scanners.
• Click on add Printer and wait for system to locate your printer. • Now click on Okay and make Default Printer. Now try to set up document in word with new Print driver by going to Page Setup.
Then try to Print. _________ Disclaimer: The questions, discussions, opinions, replies & answers I create, are solely mine and mine alone, and do not reflect upon my position as a Community Moderator. If my reply has helped, mark accordingly - Helpful or Answer Phillip M.
